Norlake Nominated For Cool Contest
Refrigerated Solutions Group (RSG) is pleased to announce that its Norlake brand has been nominated as a contestant in the 2022 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin competition. Norlake, a manufacturer of refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers and freezers, is based in Hudson, WI and has been in business there since 1947. Norlake will compete in a popular vote on www.madeinwis.com from September 19-27.
“This contest is a natural fit for Norlake because we’ve been making “cool” products for 75 years in Wisconsin. Our walk-in coolers, freezers and refrigeration systems are widely used both in foodservice and scientific industries,” said Dan Hinkle, RSG’s Chief Commercial Officer. “The coolest products in the coolest contest – you can’t get more fitting than that.”
The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin, a yearly contest since 2016, is sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group. The competition aims to highlight the state’s vibrant manufacturing industry. The contest not only brings attention to all the cool things made in Wisconsin, but also the outstanding career opportunities available in manufacturing – an industry that employs 1 in 6 people in the state!
Competition voting will begin Monday, September 19, at 8:00am and continue until 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 27. Voting is open to everyone and Individuals may vote once per day per device.
“It’s an honor to be included in the competition and we encourage everyone to go to online and cast a vote for Norlake,” said Dan Hinkle, RSG’s Chief Commercial Officer.
To cast a vote, look for the “Vote Now!” button in the top banner at www.madeinwis.com and follow these steps:

Wisconsinites have cast nearly one million votes since the contest’s inception. Last year alone, roughly 150 products were nominated and over 200,000 votes were cast to determine the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
After products are nominated, they compete in a popular vote that sets the field for Manufacturing Madness. In this tournament-style bracket, the Top 16 Wisconsin-made products compete in head-to-head matchups to win the ultimate prize – being named the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
The winner is announced each year during Manufacturing Month in October.
