Norlake refrigeration systems are designed for flexibility to meet your cooling needs. Both remote and self-contained systems are available for dependable performance in your walk-in cooler or freezer. In addition to performance, Norlake designs environmentally friendly systems using high quality, efficient components together with low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.
Split-Pak™ remote refrigeration systems are composed of a condensing unit with matching evaporator coil. With remote systems, the condensing unit is located away from a walk in cooler or freezer, usually outside a building or on a roof, while the evaporator coil is inside the walk in.
Self-contained Capsule Pak™ refrigeration systems consist of a condensing unit and evaporator coil contained in a single housing and ready to mount on top of your Norlake walk-in. All components are outside the walk-in storage area, allowing more storage inside. Whether your walk in is located indoors or outside, you have the maximum storage capacity.
Capsule Pak™ remote refrigeration systems consist of a separate evaporator coil and condensing unit which are quick-connected using pre-charged refrigerant line sets. The evaporator coil is mounted on top of the walk-in with the condensing unit located externally, often on a rooftop, to remove heat and noise from the work environment.
Capsule Pak ECO™ systems are highly sustainable with a significantly reduced Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3. Their patent-pending design combines efficient components with R290 natural refrigerant for the most eco-friendly systems.
In addition to low GWP, R290 refrigerant provides a number of benefits including lowered energy usage.
